The American Red Cross is the recognized premier provider of First Aid, CPR, Aquatics, Water Safety, HIV/AIDS education, mission-related care giving, and other health and safety education programs. Last year, over 15,500 people in Lower Bucks County enrolled in Health and Safety courses, learning how to keep themselves and their families safer. The American Red Cross Lower Bucks County Chapter has over 175 certified professional teachers that teach at our locations or at your office.

What We Offer:

First Aid Programs
The American Red Cross has provided training in first aid continually since 1909. At the turn of the century, the focus of the program was to train civilians to give first aid during disasters, conflicts, and epidemics.

Today, Red Cross chapters offer a variety of first aid programs for different age groups and both general and professional audiences, including Standard First Aid, Community First Aid and Safety, First Aid for Children Today, (F.A.C.T.), Basic Aid Training (B.A.T.), First Aid-Responding to Emergencies, and Emergency Response. All programs emphasize the importance of prevention. The goal of Red Cross courses is to teach people not only how to respond to injuries but also how to prevent them.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Programs
The number of cardiac emergencies Americans suffer each year underlines the importance of CPR training. Each year, the Red Cross trains more than two million people in adult, infant and child, and professional rescuer CPR. New Red Cross CPR courses reflect the most recent changes in emergency cardiac care.

Aquatics Program
The American Red Cross has been a leader in aquatic education since 1914. Aquatic programs are offered for all ages, skill levels, physical abilities, and include courses and skills that meet job-related needs. Courses include Infant and Preschool Aquatics, Longfellow's Whale Tales (for children), Learn to Swim (levels I to VII), Community Water Safety, Lifeguarding, Waterfront Lifeguarding, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches.
